Charity of the month

ABM Archbishop’s November Appeal –

The Archbishop’s November Appeal this year will support Papua New Guinea’s Newton Theological College (NTC) – the only college that trains people for priestly ministry in the Anglican Church in Papua New Guinea. NTC is in great need of funding to support ongoing education of students, building repairs and to better equip staff with governance expertise.
Click here, for more information on the Newton Theological College.

Donations may be made direct to the Appeal (Click here); or by direct transfer into the Caloundra-Glasshouse Country bank account using your personal internet banking.

Charity of the Spring Quarter -Bush Ministry Fund

The Bush Ministry Fund (BMF) was established in 1998 by our diocese to provide support for struggling parishes and clergy in the western region of our diocese.
When you consider, for instance, that the Maranoa-Warrego Anglican Mission Area (MWAMA) has one member of the clergy (working closely with fantastic lay leadership) covering an approximate area of 30,000 km2 which is the same size as Belgium, and one and a half times larger than the modern State of Israel, one can see the need! The support of BMF enables our diocese to maintain a caring ministry to families who live in towns and on properties in rural and remote areas. Through BMF grants, clergy can visit any property and are available to offer care and spiritual support, not only to Anglicans, but to anybody who seeks assistance in the community. For more information visit https://www.anglicanchurchsq.org.au/bmf
Please help this vital work through donating to our Charity of the Month.

If you are unable to attend Church Services, please contribute by direct transfer into the Caloundra-Glasshouse Country bank account using your personal internet banking.

December Charity of the Month – Mercy Ships

Mercy Ships Australia is part of a global charity that has operated hospital ships
in developing nations since 1978, bringing hope and healing to the forgotten
poor by mobilising people and resources worldwide, serving all people without
regard for race, gender or religion. Mercy Ships uses hospital ships to deliver
free, world-class health care services, capacity building and sustainable
development aid to those without access in the developing world. Please contribute to the Parish donation to Mercy Ships during December.

If you are unable to attend Church Services, please contribute by direct transfer into the Caloundra-Glasshouse Country bank account using your personal internet banking.
A/c Name: Caloundra Anglican Parish
BSB: 704 901 A/c: 00000110
In the reference request, please enter ‘Charity of the Month’.

Alternatively, if posting or delivering a cheque to the Office, please make cheque payable to ‘The Anglican Parish of Caloundra-Glasshouse Country’ and include a note highlighting the amount that you wish to go to the charity. The parish will then arrange this payment.

Charity of the Month Bush Church Aid

Bush Church Aid has a heart for people living in remote and regional Australia, committed to going the distance to reach Australia for Christ.
People living in sparsely populated areas often don’t benefit from strong support networks. Churches in these areas can struggle financially due to fluctuating populations. Ongoing fellowship can be hard to maintain and encouragement can become a rarity.
In partnership with Anglican Dioceses across the country, Bush Church Aid places committed and gifted Christians in a variety of locations to help people connect with the grace of God revealed in Jesus.
Please support our Charity of the Month.

School Chaplaincy

SCHOOL CHAPLAINS: are in the prevention and rescue business. They’re
helping students find a better way to deal with issues ranging from family
breakdown and loneliness to drug abuse, stress and anxiety. They provide
a listening ear and a caring presence for kids in crisis… and those who just
need a friend. All have a passion to improve the lives of young people.
Please support our Charity of the Month.
