Over the months of May – July, the Parish is supporting the worthwhile cause of chaplaincy in schools. This week, we received a newsletter from Mike Turner who for the last 5 years has been employed by Scripture Union Queensland as the chaplain at Beerwah primary and high schools. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Beerwah High School and its chaplaincy services. Mike sees his role as providing emotional and spiritual support for students, staff and families. Scripture Union Australia works alongside churches and communities to give children, young people and their families opportunities to discover hope and life in God’s big story. Scripture Union Queensland is currently seeking candidates for chaplaincy positions.
