Fire and Fantasy

Canticum presents music of passion and fancy in this varied programme, and is particularly delighted to perform Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Romancero Gitano with acclaimed guitarist Karin Schaupp.

Imaginative works by Pizzetti, Hindemith, and excerpts from Swiss composer Frank Martin’s Mass for double choir complete this programme, which offers music of unique composers and poets, many of whom worked in exile.

Be taken on a journey of emotional intensity and evocative musical colour.
